We recently had the opportunity to advance our DC Promotions commitment to social impact by partnering with an amazing nonprofit. This mission-driven organization provides meals for less-fortunate families in our area. Krissy, our firm’s President, understands that children are our future and she would never want a child to have to go to bed hungry. She explained, “We believe that it is our mission to create a positive movement within our community.”
Our team has also been collecting the tabs from aluminum soft drink cans to be recycled. Although it doesn’t seem like much, these tiny pieces of metal have raised thousands of dollars to help feed people in our community and beyond. We’ll be taking these and other types of donations throughout the year around the DC Promotions office. Krissy has set a goal to participate in at least one giveback event every month.
We enjoy the fulfilling feeling that comes with supporting a great cause. Morale in our workspace is always higher after one of our giveback events. We also feel more connected with our community knowing that we’ve made a difference in people’s lives. There are also significant networking benefits that come with social giving, as we connect with all kinds of local leaders in the process.
