Each month, we like to choose a person (or several) to highlight in our DC Promotions blog for his or her (or their) outstanding performance at work. This month, we wanted to recognize Alex for setting himself apart from his colleagues and making a big impact on our firm.
Since starting his DC Promotions career, Alex has become an integral part of the team. He comes from a sports background, playing Division 1 football at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. It was no surprise that he would assume a leadership role soon after his hire date, and now he has begun training new team members. His hard work and dedication to become the best leader possible has earned him an invitation to the national quarterly networking conference in Dallas, Texas.
When asked about his favorite part of the business, Alex quickly acknowledged our upbeat office atmosphere as well as our one-to-one coaching. He looks up to several inspiring figures both in and out of the workplace, but the one person whom he feels has made the biggest impression is our assistant manager, Cameron. “I admire him most because of his work ethic, background, and how badly he wants to succeed. He motivates me every day,” Alex explained.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys working out and spending time with his family. He also loves Caribbean food, an homage to his Jamaican roots. His favorite quote is “Ease is a greater threat to progress than hardship,” and his work ethic shows that he has taken that admonition to heart.
